More luxury, more weight, still a Z. Motor Trend’s Import Car of the Year, then T-tops and a factory turbo that pointed at the 300ZX decade.
The S130 traded some rawness for grand-touring comfort. A 1980 facelift brought T-tops. The turbo arrived as sports cars learned to live with bumpers and belts. Plenty of club cars still wear the 280ZX script on the rear flank.
